I have been employed at Strang, Inc. (an A/E/I design firm in Madison) for over 38 years, the last 32 years as a principal of the firm. During that time, I was involved in the mechanical design of a couple thousand projects, ranging from small country churchs to multi-million dollars HVAC systems for research laboratories.

In 2006 I retired from full-time employment and as engineering department head at Strang, Inc. Retiring from Strang and having my own consulting firm, Ornes Engineering, will allow us more freedom for sailing & traveling.

I have been providing HVAC consulting services for Strang and some past client on a part-time basis, as requested. Additionally, I'll be offering HVAC consulting to others as time permits.
